On August 13th, Ed Garver shot his age! He was
playing with Brian Keenan, Rob Rochlin, and Ed Leibowitz. Fortunately
for Ed, #4 was playing as a par 3 from all the rain.
While playing with Jim Miller, Ryan Clarke and Paul Watson on August
27th, Dave Burkhart flew his second shot into the
hole for an eagle 2 on #9! He hit a pitching wedge from 120 yards.
While playing in the Reeves Game on September 17th, Bing
Kearney holed a wedge from 105 yards on #9. He spun it
back into the cup to the amazement of Bob Bunting, Tom Snow, and
Tom Cannon. Needless to say he went on to win the individual points
title.
The Beltram family has had quite a year! Brothers
Dan and Andy were able to capture the Reeves BMW
Championship in March at Avila. This win led them to the National
Finals at Pinehurst #2. They also just completed an overall net
victory in the 2011 Invitational de Avila. Shortly after that victory,
it was off to Pinehurst for the finals, where Dan promptly won his
division and earned a trip to the world finals in Singapore in March!
Dan called to tell his son, DQ, the good news and
DQ had a story of his own. DQ shot his first hole-in-one on the
same day!
